Tech Forum April 2017 Update
A Note from the Board

We have some amazing events planned for May and June!

Our 3rd annual Technologies to Watch Showcase takes place on May 17th hosted by Young, Conaway, Stargatt & Taylor at their offices on Rodney Square in Wilmington. We will be spotlighting 20+ compelling technologies and innovations that are inspiring new products, services, and businesses in our region. Join business, tech and community leaders for this signature event.

Open Data Delaware, the Government Information Center, and Tech Forum have worked together to design a series of events to help solve community issues and cultivate civic technology skills. The events include a series of six workshops curated by Open Data Delaware, Tech Forum’s Idea Challenge, and the Open Data Challenge Hackathon in June.

The workshops are all scheduled. The Idea Challenge has been completed. All that's left is the Open Data Challenge Hackathon. Check it out at!

We hope you'll join us. Registration details can be found below.

Help honor immigrant entrepreneurs who have changed the world!

America was built on the twin bedrocks of immigration and entrepreneurship. And when immigration and entrepreneurship intersect, magic happens. Nominate an exceptional immigrant entrepreneur to the University City Science Center’s Innovators Walk of Fame.

The Innovators Walk of Fame (IWOF) celebrates Philadelphia’s innovation story by honoring individuals who have made groundbreaking contributions to the scientific and entrepreneurial communities. In 2017, IWOF will shine a bright light on immigrant entrepreneurs whose discoveries, inventions and contributions have transformed our world.

Nominees are not limited by industry or type of innovation. Instead, successful nominations will complete this sentence: “If not for this immigrant’s innovation, the world would be a lesser place because…”

The Science Center is accepting nominations through May 19, 2017. Nominees (living or deceased) must have a connection to the Greater Philadelphia region (including southern New Jersey and northern Delaware). Awardees will be announced and recognized at the Science Center’s Nucleus 2017 event on September 14, 2017.
